St Margaret the Queen church showcases major redevelopment plans for the church to be transformed into a vibrant community hub in the next 2 years putting the church
The reconfigured church on Barcombe Avenue, Streatham Hill will house much-needed community projects to directly support the area. Sustainable income for the community projects will be generated from a café, bakery, nursery, hot-desking, artist studios and venue hire, in partnership with local entrepreneurs and businesses.
The majority of the funding will be raised from surplus capital from a small housing development on the site, but the project needs to raise a further £450,000 to enable the build to go ahead, plus £300,000 to seed-fund Year One of the community projects (which will then become self-sustaining).
